Thank you for visiting the website of
St Michael and All Angels’ church in Alvaston, Derby.
Our mission is to connect with our local community, enable people to find pathways to God and as our banner says, to pioneer tomorrow's church for today's people.

A church has stood on this site since Saxon times although the current church was erected just over 150 years ago. Worshippers have found peace and fellowship here over many years and people are still encountering God in their lives at St Michaels.
We are an open friendly Church of England church catering for people with all levels of faith and worship styles. Young and old, are all welcome. There are many ways outside the normal Sunday services for people to get together for fellowship, learning, prayer or just the enjoyment of each other’s company. If you are seeking a place to get married the wedding page will tell you a little more, if you are considering a baptism then we generally hold these once a month during our main family connections service.
You will always find a warm welcome if ever you visit our church and through these webpages we hope you will find a little more about what is happening at St Michael and all Angels’ church.
Explore the Christian Faith and the meaning of life on our next Alpha course.
St Michaels has set out on a 12 month Mission Plan for church growth, spiritually and numerically. Read more about it and even become involved.
If you would like to come to one of our events, find out what's on using the calendar or see our regular Sunday services page.
