Mission and Ministry Area 55 (Derby Diocese)

Our Church is part of a larger group of four parishes forming a Mission and Ministry area within the Derby Diocese, known as Church@DerbySouth. (Click to link to their site.)

After a long period of turmoil the four parishes are making progress.

We have produced a strategy document for the MMA’s future direction, including an agreed structure for the future distribution of stipendiary staff and the next vicar of St Michael’s will also be be required to perform the role of Area Vicar of the MMA.

The bishop has accepted the strategic plan and has activated the process for filling our vacancy. In the interim he has provided us with Ingrid (Rev Ingrid Munro) to fill the gap.
